HSSE Manager

We are now seeking a highly motivated Project HSSE Manager to Project & Development. You will be embedded in the P&D project organisation and work in close cooperation with project management, technical disciplines and contractors/suppliers, with key interfaces towards Operations, Drilling & Well (where relevant) and the supply chain.

Main Responsibilities

  • Be an integral part of the P&D project management team and provide HSSE leadership and decision support through the full project lifecycle (concept, FEED, execution, commissioning and handover).
  • Set, communicate and follow up HSSE requirements towards contractors/suppliers and the project organisation, including HSSE leadership in the project’s execution model and interfaces towards Operations.
  • Facilitate and drive key Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) processes in line with company requirements (e.g., HSSE planning, risk assessments, barrier strategy, verification, readiness reviews, learning and compliance).
  • Develop, maintain and follow up on the project HSSE plan and HSSE deliverables, ensuring alignment with the schedule and decision gates (including basis for gate documentation and recommendations).
  • Advise on and support compliance with applicable NCS regulations, standards and company requirements, including contractor HSSE requirements and verification of compliance during project execution.
  • Monitor, review and report HSSE performance, risk picture and trends, including follow-up of audits, inspections and observations, and ensure learning from incidents and deviations is implemented in the project
  • Ensure effective follow-up of Synergi cases, audits, nonconformities and actions, including escalation of critical HSSE issues and verification of closure prior to commissioning and handover
  • Request and coordinate specialist services and support from Safety & Sustainability and other relevant disciplines as required (e.g., working environment, emergency preparedness, security, environment).

Qualifications

  • Requires a relevant university degree at a higher level
  • Typically requires 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Thorough understanding of NCS regulations
  • A high level of understanding of industry practices and operational needs to meet the Company's safety ambitions.
  • Is in full command of the English and Norwegian language
