Main Tasks
The consultant's tasks and responsibilities may include several of the following, depending on professional experience:
- Provide support to relevant company functions in the areas of technical safety and barrier management.
- Conduct technical safety assessments relating to design, deviations, changes, and modifications for operated assets and projects (brownfield/modification projects).
- Review, follow up and develop technical safety/Barrier Management related documentation, such as philosophies, design basis, safety strategies, performance standards, etc.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in technical safety
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge in technical safety/barrier management (Experience with PSA regulations and relevant standards, e.g., Norsok S-001, ISO 13702, IEC 61508/61511)
- The ability to communicate effectively across all organisational levels
- A proactive mindset with the ability to drive change and improvement
- Able to work independently and contribute to decision-making processes
- Fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken
