Job tasks and responsibilities
- Responsibility for welding methods, as well as technical clarifications for NDT and pressure testing relating to our installations
- Assist the Installation Lead onshore, with method support for welding operations offshore, as well as follow-up and ordering from our subcontractors.
- Assist the project with checking the underlying documentation, and ensure that we comply with all requirements related to welding, NDT and pressure testing.
- Prepare hot work prequalification, as well as calculate the correct burn time.
- Participate in survey in study and realisation phases offshore.
- Planning campaigns and audit rounds in relation to staffing, equipment, and technical clarifications.
- Prepare the basis for a plan for establishing logical sequences in project plans.
- Ensure good anchoring of the philosophy within the customer's operational organisation and create good cooperation for the implementation of the chosen solutions.
- Collaborate with the client's offshore operations organisation and engineering for good solutions on tie-ins to existing systems.
- Lay the groundwork for the shot sequences
- Installation philosophy and methods for assignments/projects.
Qualifications

- Apprenticeship in welding.
- Good knowledge of technical documentation, ISO, 2D.
- International Welding Inspector IWI-S / NS 477
- Relevant experience and/or additional education can compensate for a lack of a trade certificate.
- 5 years of relevant experience in design and installation.
- Experience in methods and philosophies for installation and system testing
- Desired
Equinor systems, e.g. SAP

- Experience as welding inspector/QC coordinator, NDT and pressure testing
