Temporary assignment for experienced payroll advisor. Responsible for all aspects of Norwegian payroll, including execution, reporting, analysis and control. Responsible for all governmental reporting, including taxes and social security.

Responsibilities and Outcomes:

 

  • Process monthly payroll for all Norwegian employees
  • Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, while also ensuring all legal compliances are met.
  • Ensure payroll, tax and social security payment commitments are met at all times
  • Maintain and supervise payroll-relevant employee master data
  • Work closely with SAP Support to ensure the SAP payroll system is kept up to date at all times.
  • Coordinate and support various projects as requested, including SAP system enhancements and upgrades, enhancement fixes and regulatory updates
  • Ensure pension basis is correct and reported to relevant parties
  • Responsible for governmental reporting, such as bi-monthly payroll tax and employer contributions.
  • Responsible for the implementation of annual salary and pension adjustments, and bonus and stock programmes.
  • Assist HR staff with payroll and tax-related queries and provide training and development as required.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners to integrate data flow between HR and Payroll.
  • Respond to payroll-related questions escalated from HR Connections
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to ensure accurate and timely coordination of data transfer and reporting of payroll information.
  • Identify and drive process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure SOX compliance for payroll processes
  • Ensure compliance with the company's compensation and benefit policies and procedures
  • Ensure adequate internal controls exist and are followed to minimise payroll-related risk
  • Identify and suggest improvements to processes and solutions through collaboration with relevant stakeholders in HR.

  • Understands the cost implications of decisions made

 

Required skills (education & competencies):

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. HR, Finance, Economics etc.)
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Knowledge and understanding of finance processes
  • Professionally handle confidential employee and company information

 

Preferred skills (education and competencies):

  • 5-10 years of experience directly related to Norwegian payroll activities. A lack of payroll experience can be compensated by a strong background and competencies within related activities.
