Later, she moved into the staffing industry and founded NøkkelPersonell AS in 1996, where she still works with recruitment and staffing solutions.

Sustainability and corporate social responsibility

We at NøkkelPersonell are both aware of and committed to sustainability, considering it a natural part of delivering on all bottom lines: people – planet – profit.

In line with this focus, it is natural for us to look to the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals to map out how we can best contribute to pushing the world in the right direction. Improvements do not happen by themselves, and because of this, the Sustainable Development Goals have been made a natural part of how we work.
The Sustainable Development Goals we have chosen to focus specifically on are:

Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth

Opening new doors for both candidates and businesses is at the very core of what we do. We take pride in providing high-quality positions and facilitating full employment. We have a strong focus on inclusivity and consider diverse teams a competitive advantage. One of our focus areas is to contribute to an inclusive working life by daring to invest in young people in the workforce, acting as a gateway, but also by counteracting age discrimination so that no one is pushed out of the labour market.

Goal 5: Gender equality

In our role as recruiters and staffing consultants, we often have a decisive voice in hiring processes. We are convinced that economic and social equality between the sexes contributes to positive development on all levels, and we view equality in working life as the very foundation for achieving this. We therefore focus our attention on recruiting and further developing talent based on the individual – where factors such as gender, background, and sexual orientation do not play a part in the selection and presentation of candidates.

Goal 1: Eradicate Poverty

An important dimension of our sustainability strategy is also to make a difference by supporting organisations working to achieve the SDGs. For decades, Key Personnel has supported the important work of SOS Children's Villages for a safe childhood. As long as millions of children face an uncertain future, the UN Sustainable Development Goals are completely unattainable. Poverty is the main reason why children are left to fend for themselves. SOS Children's Villages builds the capacity of families and communities in such a way that they themselves are able to break the cycle of poverty. SOS Children's Villages supports and strengthens families so that they are lifted out of poverty and exclusion both now and in the long term.
