Main Tasks
The consultant’s tasks and responsibilities may include several of the following, depending on professional experience:
- Support relevant company functions in areas of technical safety and barrier management
- Conduct technical safety evaluations related to design, deviations, changes, and modifications for operated assets and projects (brownfield/modification projects)
- Review, follow up, and develop technical safety/Barrier Management related documentation, such as philosophies, design basis, safety strategies, performance standards, etc.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience within technical safety
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge in technical safety/barrier management (Experience with PSA regulations and relevant standards, e.g., Norsok S-001, ISO 13702, IEC 61508/61511)
- Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels
- Proactive mindset with the ability to drive change and improvement
- Capable of working independently and contributing to decision-making processes
- Fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken
