For immediate commencement as part of a maternity cover for a temporary position, a consultant for internal control, risk management, and emergency preparedness is sought at Kolumbus. As a consultant, you will be responsible for further developing and implementing systems and Risk management, security, and emergency preparedness processes. The position will ensure that the company complies with relevant laws, regulations, and internal requirements, and contribute to a robust and safe organisation. The role involves cross-functional collaboration and reporting to management on the company's risk profile and preparedness measures.
The position also has a defined and independent responsibility for the company's management system, i.e. the overall structure of routines, processes and digital tools that are intended to ensure that quality, health, safety and environment (HSE), risk and internal control are handled systematically and in accordance with regulations, including the Internal Control Regulations. The responsibility entails genuine ownership of the management system, ensuring that it is up-to-date, actively used and complied with throughout the organisation.

Job duties

Within internal control, risk management, and preparedness:

Further develop and maintain the internal control work, meaning the routines and controls in the management system that shall ensure that laws, regulations, and internal requirements are complied with.

Prepare and update risk analyses, including ROS analyses (risk and vulnerability analyses).

Planning and conducting emergency drills and evaluations

Establish and follow up compliance processes related to relevant laws and regulations

Contribute to increased security awareness and culture within the organisation

Coordinate incident management and deviation reports

Assist departments in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks

Responsible for quality and sustainability in the company's reporting to stakeholders, including sustainability reporting and reports to management, the board, and external authorities.

Follow up on measures and action plans within security and preparedness

To stay up to date on relevant legislation and best practices

Participate in projects

As the system owner for the management system, the digital tool (of the EG Landax type): 

Manage and further develop the digital management system, including the document structure,
Access control and templates for routines and procedures

Ensure that procedures, routines and forms in the system are updated, are the correct version and are easily
available to employees

Follow up that the departments are actively using the system in their daily work, including registration.
deviations, risk assessments, and suggestions for improvement

Facilitate internal audits and management review of the management system

Contribute to employee training on system usage and associated digital tools

To be Columbus's contact point with the supplier of the digital management system

Qualification requirements

Bachelor's or Master's in Societal Safety, Auditing, Law, Political Science, or Economics
Experience with internal control, audit, management audit and/or emergency preparedness
Good understanding of public administration and corporate governance
Knowledge of relevant frameworks such as COSO, ISO 31000, GDPR, and sustainability is desirable.
Experience with risk assessment, contingency planning and incident management
Good written and oral communication skills in Norwegian
Knowledge of digital tools for internal control and risk management, such as management systems
of the EG Landax type
