- Try to reset yourself as best as possible before the interview
- Be mindful and don't let your first impression colour your judgement too much. Some candidates need a little time to «settle in» during the interview.
- Go through the entire CV thoroughly; who, what, where, and why!
- Bring another person from the organisation, preferably someone with a different position within the organisation. 4 eyes and ears pick up more than 2.
- Many people spend too much time presenting the company. Spend less time on this, and ask the candidate what he or she knows about the business. This will give you insight into what research the candidate has done beforehand.
